A bland fixture in most kitchens, cabinets are now becoming a great focal point. If you cannot imagine this to be, check out the stylish kitchen cabinets in Vancouver and you will instantly see how organization is now a very popular and enticing trend.

Darker floors--

Linoleum was very popular for years and mostly because it was cheap and easy to clean. Now more than ever people are interested in having a kitchen that boasts a wood floor. While still easy to clean, wood floors can withstand the test of time and can take a lot of activity from pets, children, and various family members. If you do choose to go with a darker floor finish, be sure to paint your walls a lighter color so that your space is still bright and cheerful. If you use a dark color, you could make the space look smaller and uninviting.
Black appliances--
While most are changing out old appliances and replacing them with stainless steel ones, you may not want to do this. While stainless steel does look gorgeous, if you have small children, pets, or a husband who touches the fridge many times throughout the day, you may not want this material on your appliances. It is not discussed out loud very often but stainless steel must be cleaned on a regular basis to keep fingerprints and other marks at bay. If you have black appliances, think about how you can re-purpose them into something more fashionable instead of throwing them out. You can do this by updating other things around the appliance such as cabinetry door handles or how you decorate your space.
While granite has been the go to countertop for a few years, some actually prefer using other materials that are not as soft and are more durable. In fact, sitting on a countertop can crack a piece of granite if it is done just right. While granite may look lovely, it is not necessarily the best material to withstand weight, heat, or roughhousing. The newest and most popular material for countertops these days is quartz. Take a look for yourself and see if this will work better for you. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and go for a countertop that you like even if it is not the most popular thing on the market.
Most overlook lighting fixtures and the importance of a great LED light bulb. When renovating your kitchen, invest in LED light bulbs. The bulbs will not only last longer but your space will be better lit and more inviting.
