Getting a Gorgeous Yard That's Cheap and Easy to Maintain

Growing and maintaining a yard can be anything but easy. There is so much thought, physically labor, and cost that goes into it. It’s no wonder some folks just leave it to get overgrown. But a yard can be wonderful things when it's attractive, and you can make it so without breaking your back or your bank balance. Read on to find out more.

Most folks that have a good lookin' yard have some sort of lawn either large or small, and if they are growing right lawns can be pretty cheap and low maintenance. However, if there is a problem with your lawn, it can be expensive to get it looking gorgeous again, as well as taking a lot of work.

To avoid the cost and extra labor of digging up and relaying a lawn that isn't looking too green and lush, you can use patch fixing seed. This is a container of grass seed that comes with a plant food incorporated. So all you have to do is sprinkle it on the rough patches and leave it to grow. Then you can get a nice green and even lawn for under $20.

Weeds--

Unless you are the luckiest person in the world, from time to time you are going to come across weeds in your yard. While some can actually look quite pretty, most grow quickly and suffocate the plants that you actually want in your outdoor space. So, unfortunately-- they need to go.

Unfortunately, weeding is known to be a very tough job. As not only does it including digging and pulling the things out by their roots, but you also have to bend down while you are doing it. This can wreak havoc on your back.

But if you would rather deal with your weed problem without ending up needing to see a chiropractor after each session, there are some things you can try. For one, you can use a weed burner, which is a piece of natural gas equipment that burns a large section of weeds away. So the effort for you is minimal. Of course, you need to be pretty careful that you only get the plant you are trying to destroy and not the ones you want to keep!

Or you can use a telescopic weeder. This is a garden tool that extends towards the ground, so you don't have to bend over to get those pesky weeds out!

Or if you are looking for a low cost and low effort option you can make a natural weed killer from everyday households products. Which even if it doesn't get rid of them entirely, will certainly make the job of getting rid of them a lot easier.

Plants--

If you have ever been to a flower or vegetable show, you will know that some folks spend a lot of time, effort, and money on growing plants. But you don't have to be an award-winning grower to get a pleasant looking yard, or spend all of your savings either.

A simple and cheap solution is to grow your plants from seed. As you are not paying a premium for them to be raised for you. Choose mixed wildflower seeds, as these are the easiest way of integrating a little color into your yard without spending a fortune.
