My Review of the Calla Toddler Pillow

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Many of the premium pillows available for your toddler have one major flaw…they can’t be washed – Memory foam pillows, cotton filled pillows or other organics (like wool) can’t be washed or are ruined when they are washed. If for any number of reasons, their pillow get’s dirty, you’re left with putting a clean pillow case on a soiled pillow.

Because toddlers can be tough on their pillows, a washable pillow is a must. It’s like insurance for the next time they spill a drink in bed. Or they get sick. Or give their pillow a bath in a puddle. Or any variety of surprising “accidents.” A washable pillow is a must."

I was sent a toddler pillow from Calla Creative to review.

The price for this pillow is $35.88.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of the Calla Toddler Pillow

This pillow arrived in perfect condition!  It came wrapped in cellophane to protect it during shipment.  There were not any damages nor defects.  You can see directly through to the pillow.

The back of the packaging outlined the warnings.

It was easy to get out of the packaging-- it was a single seal, so just pull and it slides right out.

There was also a card that was shipped with this that provided a lot of information about this pillow.  The front of the card labels the product, brand, and features.  This is made in the USA, and made with 100% organic cotton!

Check out some of the features:

+ Premium washable pillows that don't clump or go flat
+ US grown organic cotton covering, sateen woven for ultimate comfort
+ Made with CallaFill, the best hypoallergenic poly cluster filling
+ Safe and free from pesticides and flame retardant chemicals
+ For quality, restful sleep
+ 3-year 'out-grow-it' guarantee

The back of the card had a very nice personal note from the business owners.

My Personal Experience with the Calla Toddler Pillow

With my baby girl not really being a 'baby' anymore, it was time to get her a real pillow.  This is the absolute perfect one because it is washable, it's small, made with the highest quality materials, and it's comfortable.

There is a federal material's tag sewn into the side (you can remove this).

I always look at the closing of any pillow, because if it comes apart, this is where it happens.  I like to make sure that the stitching is solid and thorough.  Of course, this far surpassed my expectations.

My daughter just loves it.  She watches her favorite show, 'Mio Mao' as she just hangs out.

Pros of the Calla Toddler Pillow
  • Very well made.
  • Made with the highest quality materials.
  • Made in the USA.
  • Easily washed, and it doesn't lose its shape.
  • Perfect size.
  • Solid stitching.

Cons of the Calla Toddler Pillow
  • I haven't found any cons of this pillow.

This is the perfect little pillow for my daughter!  She is at that stage where she is trying to emulate everything that I do (as her mother), so it’s pretty neat having a miniature pillow that fits perfectly for her.  She loves putting the pillow case on and placing it wherever she decides to nap.  Not only is the size awesome, but the fact that it is so soft, able to be washed without any negative effects, and the covering is made from organic material really makes it a pillow that I WANT my baby girl to have!  It’s ultra-portable, and able to be carried around without too much stress on a little one’s hands.  I absolutely love it (as does my daughter)!  I definitely recommend checking this out.
