..::Product Review::.. 'Bright From The Start' Soft White Hybrid Halogen Light Bulb

My Review of the 'Bright From The Start' Soft White Hybrid Halogen Light Bulb

Recently, I have been annoyed by the rise in energy prices. I mean, do they do it because they know there is nothing we can do it stop them? Every time energy suppliers up the rate, we have to continue to purchase-- because gas and electric is a necessity. Instead of moaning and doing nothing about it, I decided to take action with the 'Bright From The Start' Soft White energy efficient light bulb.

Packing & Presentation...

Just like any regular light bulb, the packaging is nothing to write home about. To be honest, it is plain and boring.

But, most items don't have the most attractive packaging. However, since I am looking to save money and not make my home prettier, I don’t care too much about the packaging. Yes, it would be nice if it was pretty as it was effective. But, you can’t get everything that you want in life!

My main problem with energy efficient light bulbs is the fact that they don’t give off enough light. Okay, I want to save money on my bills, but I need to see where I am going, too. Some of the ones I have tested are so dim that it is like living in constant darkness. With 'Bright From The Start', it's different. This particular bulb uses a mixture of technology to ensure that the bulb gives off enough light.

Where the brightness is concerned, the Halogen technology is doing all the work. The instant light from the Halogen immediately brightens the room.

I know what you are thinking, because I was thinking it too.

Does the instant illumination affect the efficiency? No, it doesn’t (the short answer)!

The long answer is that the 'Bright From The Start' mixes two kinds of technology to get the perfect match: Halogen and CFL. The compact fluorescent light technology (CFL) is compressed. That allows it last for at least six times longer than most light bulbs. In fact, some studies show that it is nearly five hundred percent more efficient than most bulbs. Just wait until your next energy bill comes in at the end of the month and compare it and you will see the difference.

Unfortunately, there is no getting away from the price. 'Bright From The Start' charges $13 for two bulbs, so it could cost you around $50 to light the whole house. However, I have used ‘energy efficient’ bulbs in the past, and they were around the same price. Any appliance that saves energy is always more expensive. However, the superior quality of this product is worth the extra cash. Plus, in the long-term you will save money because you won’t need to replace them as much. And, if you can find even better commercial electricity rates the savings will be even bigger.

I was very happy with this product. The only real negative was the price, but I knew the initial cost would be expensive. As energy efficient light bulbs go, these are among the best I have tried!
