My Review of Allprovide Dog Food

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Allprovide's fresh dog food is made from all-natural, restaurant quality ingredients. The food can be served naturally (raw) or cooked in its microwavable pouches. It comes frozen and should be refrigerated. Meal options include chicken, turkey or beef and the recipes are gluten, grain and soy free for dogs sensitive to allergies.

It is a natural, healthy alternative to highly processed, pre-packaged kibbles that are made with chemicals and byproducts."

I was sent the Starter Box of fresh pet food from Allprovide to review.

The price for this box is $36.60.  Shipping is included in the price.

Right now, Allprovide is offering you the opportunity to grab this starter box for half-off.  That's only $18.30 for this box shipped to your door. I'm telling you, don't pass this deal up!  The coupon code is STARTERBOX.

Packaging & Presentation of Allprovide Dog Food

I am happy to say that this box of dog food arrived in great condition.  Now, it ships in a cooler with dry ice.  Please know how to handle dry ice before you touch it.  As soon as you see this box outside, hurry up and open it and put it away since it is temperature controlled.  It was shipped in its own cardboard box for safe delivery, and everything was intact.  There were no damages during shipment. The box is labeled very well-- there is no mistaking this box!

When you open it, you'll find some paperwork as well as the cooler that contains the frozen dog food.  You can reuse this if you'd like!

This paperwork had my order information, instructions, and little cardstock brochures that explained each 'flavor' in detail.

Each pound of pet food was well labeled, immaculately sealed, and very easy to store due to the sizing.  I received three different flavors:

+ Beef & Vegetable
+ Turkey & Vegetables
+ Chicken & Vegetables

My Personal Experience with Allprovide Dog Food

I have heard about the raw-diet, but I have never really ventured much further than that.  Apparently, it's really, really good for your animals, so when I was given the opportunity to review this I was all in!  I also like that they are fairly close to where we live.  It won't take long to get our boxes!

This is a whole different world.  When I received this box, I'll admit that I was a little overwhelmed.  I started reading the ingredients on each brochure, and I said to myself, "Dang...this is better than the food that I feed my kids."  Sad, right?  But in all honesty, it really gets you thinking.  I can read and understand all ingredients listed.  That's a good sign.

The directions say that if your dog is not currently on a raw diet, that you need to acclimate them to it.  You can start by cooking the food (either in the microwaveable pouch, or on the stove).  That's what I have been doing.  Every few days cook it less and less until your dog is on it totally raw.  You also need to mix it with their current food so a harsh change will not upset their digestive system.

This is remarkable, guys.  The price is perfect, and it ships directly to you.  I know some reviewers are not honest, but I will not steer you wrong.  If you follow my blog, you know that if something is awful, I'll tell you about it.  I'm not going to recommend something to you and have my name on it when I can't back it up myself.  I'm telling you-- this is awesome.  I love everything about it.  So does my dog.  She gobbles this up!  I thought this was a cute picture because you can see her tongue sticking out.

Pros of Allprovide Dog Food
  • The quality is beyond amazing.
  • Shipped fresh to your door!
  • Comes with all pertinent details w/ ingredients and instructions.
  • You get a lot of food for your money-- highly comparable to the pet store food.
  • My dog loves it!
  • Can be given frozen as a treat, room temperature as a meal, or cooked as a meal.
Cons of Allprovide Dog Food
  • I haven't found any cons of this dog food.

Overall, this has been a great experience.  I'm not saying that there wasn't a learning curve, because there is.  You have to be a bit more involved with feeding your dog.  You can't just give him/her a scoop of kibble and be done with it.  You have to cook/measure/provide your dog with this food directly.  But, trust me-- your dog's health will thank you.  You can see the quality in this food, and it's unmistakable.  My cat even sneaks a few bites of it!  I am very happy with this, and I definitely recommend it.
