My Review of the B&C Home Goods Breathable Garment Bags

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"This set of 3 garment bags comes with a water-resistant shoe bag and is the perfect lightweight staple for all your storage and travel needs. Made from industry-leading, acid-free 120GSM material that is thick yet breathable, these garment covers protect and preserve your clothes from harmful elements during travel or storage, keeping them fresh. The generous 40 inch length provides plenty of space for your suit or other garments, without being too unwieldy to take on travel or fit in a closet."

I was sent a set of (3) garment bags and a shoe bag from B&C Home Goods to review.

The price for this set is $23.95.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of
the B&C Home Goods Breathable Garment Bags

This set of garment bags was sent to me in perfect condition.  There were no defects during shipment, and everything was intact.  They were shipped inside of a plastic bag so they weren't damaged.  All four of the pieces were in the single bag.

There are three identical garment bags plus a bonus shoe bag.

My Personal Experience with the B&C Home Goods Breathable Garment Bags

Garment bags are the most fun product on the market, but they are definitely useful.  I have used garment bags since 2006 (when I was first introduced to such a thing!) and I can attest to the fact that there are quality ones, and there are suck-y ones.  This set is very high quality.  They are made from a thicker material that is kind of stiff, but they do fold easily.

The thing that I love about these is that there is a little clear window so you can see through to your outfit-- no more guesswork!  Usually, I'd have to grab a bag, unzip it, and zip it back up when I was looking for something.  Not anymore!

Each bag has a well-sewn zipper that starts from the top and goes all of the way to the bottom.

There is a plastic piece on top that gives a little extra support to the hanger.  It's pre-slotted, so all you do is push the hanger through.

Lastly, there is a little grommet on the bottom that you can use to fold the bag over and keep them folded for easier storage.  I use this feature all of the time!

The bonus shoe bag feels like a nylon bag that has dual drawstrings on it.  It fits a few pair of shoes, but that is definitely dependent upon size.  I wear an 8, and I can probably fit 3 pair in here without overdoing it.  This is okay, I haven't really used this for travel yet.  I think it'll be good to keep my flip-flops in during the winter.

Pros of the B&C Home Goods Breathable Garment Bags

Cons of the B&C Home Goods Breathable Garment Bags
  • I haven't found any cons of these bags.

These are very nice garment bags.  I have been using the same blue nylon garment bag for the past nine years, so it has been nice using something more durable.  When I received these, I really didn’t expect them to feel the way they did—they are made from more of a fabric material (kind of like the cube baskets for a cube shelf), so they are pretty thick.  The zipper works great, and I was able to fit two outfits in each one without any issues.  There is a clear window on the front, and that is actually pretty helpful as it takes the guesswork out of the contents.  I like the shoe bag, too.  It’s just a normal slide lock bag, but it fits three pair of my shoes (size 8 women’s) comfortably.  Overall, I have been really happy with how these look, work, and hold up.  It’s always nice have non-wrinkled and fresh-looking clothing!  I definitely recommend this.
