..::Product Review::.. MazeTechno's GoPro Suction Cup Mount

My Review of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"This product is the most widely used and made with high-quality industrial materials. This suction cup mount holder is designed for fixing cameras on the surface of the motorcycle or car to ensure the GoPro action camera will not drop in high-speed motion. It's one of the best choices in your extreme sports. It is adjustable, offer you best viewing angle. 7 cm diameter base suction cup can stick tightly, even you are bumping along the mountain road.”

I was sent a single suction cup GoPro mount from MazeTechno to review.

This packs costs $8.20, and ships free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount

This GoPro mount arrived in perfect condition.  There were not any defects nor issues during shipment.  It was shipped in a clear zipped bag.  The smaller pieces (the clip and screw) are packed inside another smaller bag.  There wasn't any further information (like branding, contents, or contact information).

My Personal Experience with the GoPro Suction Cup Mount

My husband and I have both the original GoPro as well as the GoPro Hero 4.  The cool thing about these cameras is that you can use different mounts to obtain different perspectives.  I have found plenty of uses for this mount.  My husband likes to use it in his truck, and I like perching it on the window in front of the hummingbird feeder.

First, you are going to need the little clip-- don't lose this.  It's essential to the mount.  It also comes with the screw, but I forgot to take a picture of it.  See below for a picture in use.

Screw this clip onto your GoPro camera.

Slip the clip into the top of the mount until you hear an audible click.  It's like one of those latches in a seat of a shopping card.

This mount has two adjustment knobs.  The first allows the actual camera to swivel right and left 90 degrees.  This knob is located just under the clip.  The other allows you to adjust the reach of the entire mount.  This knob is located nearest the suction cup.

Next, choose a place that you want to put it.  You don't have to choose too carefully, because you can easily remove this mount.  Make sure whatever surface that you put it on is clean, though.  When you find the place, push the suction button forward, and it'll stick really well.

Finally, your mount is ready!  I placed this on my back door directly in front of the hummingbird feeder.  Hopefully we'll see some action.

Pros of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount
  • Fully adjustable.
  • Very easy to stick.
  • Comes with all of the parts that you need to get your camera to mount.
Cons of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount
    • I wish the packaging came with further information; even a little business card would have been nice.

We love bringing the GoPro with us as we drive around—you never know what you are gonna see!  This is a powerful mount and holds the camera up perfectly.  I love how easy it is to set everything up, and when you are done, it’s a super easy task to take it down and store it.  Out of all of my GoPro accessories, I use this one the most.  It’s pretty flexible, so you get a long of different angles (depending on how you set it up).  I definitely recommend this.
