My Review of Foxbrim Total Hair Repair Oil

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Foxbrim's Total Hair Repair Oil combines nutrient-rich plant oils to effectively nourish and completely restore hair. Feed your hair with nature's best. Now's the time to replenish dry and damaged hair to give you the beautifully strong, healthy looking hair you desire and deserve."

I was sent a 4.0 fl oz bottle of Total Hair Repair Oil from Foxbrim to review.

The price for this bottle is $17.95, and it ships free with Amazon Prime.

Unfortunately, this bottle did not arrive in perfect condition.  Although it did not leak out of the bottle, some of the oil leaked under the cap and within the safety seal.  When I opened the seal, oil leaked down the side of the bottle.  I found where it was leaking from, and it is the fault of a defective cap. Other than the leak (if it is tilted sideways or upside down), the pump itself works great.  I wiped down as much of the oil as I can, but the bottle still has an 'oily' feeling to it.  It's hard to capture oil-leakage in a picture, but you can kind of see it below:

The bottle itself is dark brown glass, and the label is yellow with gold and white accents.  It holds 4.0 fl oz of the repair oil.  The bottle measures 5.5" tall with the cap, and 1.75" wide at its base.  This product uses a pump dispenser method of application.

The front of the bottle labels the product, brand, and features the key product ingredients.

The right side of the label outlines the directions for use, and provides Foxbrim's contact information.  This product was not tested on animals, is packaged in recyclable packaging, is made in the USA, and has a 12-month PAO.  The left side of the label gives a brief description of why you should use this oil, and lists the ingredients.

There is a safety seal on this product.  It connects the plastic lid to the lids' base.  It does not have a perforated easy-open strip, so I suggest you come prepared with your scissors.  Even so, there was a little of the seal left under the lid, so all I did was unscrew the lid and lifted it off.

The pump dispenser provides about a dime-sized amount of the repair oil in your palm.  I have super, super long hair, so I used two pumps.  My pump dispenser lid leaks at the first point directly underneath the exit spout.

My Personal Experience with Foxbrim Total Hair Repair Oil

I love my long hair, but I'll admit that it is a pain in the arse to take care of.  I'm always looking for a new way to care for it because it takes a long time to style and keep up with.  Not to mention the amount of money I need to spend to keep it lookin' good.  To be honest, I usually end up throwing it up in a bun.  It's a lot easier that way, and I think that it looks fairly presentable in any situation.

Foxbrim released their new Total Hair Repair Oil, and you know that I just had to try it.  I absolutely love all of Foxbrim's other products, so I had high hopes for this one.  Especially since it could be a potential life saver when it comes to my hair.

Before anything, I want to show you that it is, indeed, an oil.  It is a mixture of argan, grapeseed, and jojoba oils.  There are other ingredients, too, but these are the main kickers.

According to the directions, you can go a bunch of different ways with this.  You can use it as a 10-minute mask.  You can use it as a 2-hour mask.  You can use it as an overnight hair repair treatment.  You can even scrunch a small amount into dry hair to use as a styling and restoration elixir.  I wanted to see the total working of this oil, so I went for the dry-hair option.  I pumped twice into my palm, and I scrunched it in my hair, brushed it through, and let it sit for a while.  It's more of a dry-oil, but a little goes a long way.  It gave my hair texture, and definitely made it easier to brush.  It took away all of my frizzy parts.  I am in love.

Pros of Foxbrim Total Hair Repair Oil
  • There are so many ways to use this-- a short mask, a long mask, a treatment, a styling serum, the possibilities are endless!
  • Fragrance-free.  I love scented products, but not when I am using them in conjunction with a shampoo/conditioner that is already fragranced.
  • Made my hair have life and texture.
  • 100% money back guarantee.
Cons of Foxbrim Total Hair Repair Oil
  • This repair oil is OIL, so if you use too much, you are going to have greasy hair.  Tip:  experiment a little with it so you know the perfect amount for your hair type/length.
  • MY bottle is defective.  I'm sure it is not all of the bottles, but in my case this is a con because my bottle is oily and I can't fix it.

Okay, so I am totally happy with this repair oil. It is nothing short of amazing.  It has made my hair have a little life in it.  A little definitely goes a long way.  My hair is at my lower back, and two pumps is plenty enough for me.  The oil does not have a fragrance, so it mixes well with any shampoo/conditioner that you choose.  I also love how versatile its uses are.  This is definitely something that you should check out.

If you are unhappy with the results, Foxbrim offers a 100% Money-Back Guarantee.  What do you have to lose?
