My Review of Pocket Protein

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"PROTEIN is the one nutrient we all know we need every day, multiple times a day. It’s also one of the most inconvenient. Pocket Protein is 2 ounces of GREAT TASTING, LIQUID PROTEIN. Our strawberry formula in convenient 2oz foil packs. • Great tasting strawberry flavor • No fat, sugar, carbs, caffeine, gluten or lactose • Doesn’t require refrigeration • Unique convenient packaging Please allow 5 days for shipping."

I was sent an 8-day supply of Women's 15g Strawberry Pouches from Pocket Protein to review.

The price for each pouch is around $2.00, and shipping is free!

Packaging & Presentation of
Pocket Protein
My box of Pocket Protein arrived safely to my doorstep.  There were not any leaks nor defects with the packaging.  The box measures 7.25" x 5.5" x 3.0".

The box is good looking.  It is pink and white and grabs my attention.

On one side of the box, you will find the nutrition facts.  These facts are also printed on each individual pouch.  You can also find the recommended use, warnings, storage information, ingredients, and company distribution information.

The other side of the box gives way to an easy-open access port.  The top flips up so you can easily store your Pocket Protein pouches.

The pouches themselves go exactly with the box-theme.  Each pouch 5.5" tall by 2.75" wide.  The pouch holds 2.0 fl oz.  There is a screw-on top covering an easy-drink plastic spout.

My Personal Experience with Pocket Protein

I am a vegetarian, so I definitely have to find protein supplements in other foods beyond meat products.  This has been one of the most exciting ways that I've been able to get my protein.  Moreover, both protein (in this form) and exogenous ketones are most often used as a weight loss supplement, as they boost your energy and decrease your appetite. I've never heard of Pocket Protein until I was given the opportunity to review it.  Now I am hooked!

After I checked out the packaging, I went in for a pouch!  The pouch has a resealable cap on it, but you drink these in one shot, so it's pretty unnecessary unless you accidentally open one up without the intention of drinking it.

I poured the liquid out of one to see what it looked like.  It is yellow in color and has a thicker consistency, yet it is still pretty fluid in motion.

I always like to check to see if the company provides the exact amount that is depicted on the packaging, so I measured the contents of 1 pouch.  Each pouch contains 2.0 fl oz, which is equivalent to 1/4 cup.  Guess what?  You get a little over 1/4 cup.  Awesome.

I used Pocket Protein for the full week before I wrote this post, so I have some fresh information to share.  I was kind of scared to try this, as I wasn't sure how it would taste.  But let me get this straight-- it was delicious! It tastes kind of like strawberry jello.

I drank 2 servings per day, and I noticed a definite increase in my energy.  I also noticed that my appetite slightly decreased.  Maybe not my appetite per say, but definitely the amount of food that I ingested decreased.

Pros of Pocket Protein
  • Convenient pouches that are perfect for on-the-go.
  • The flavor is phenomenal.
  • Each pouch contains 15g of quality protein.
  • ZERO sugars, fats, carbs, gluten, lactose, stimulants, GMOs, artificial colors.
  • Perfect for weight loss and overall metabolism increase.
  • Only has 60 calories per pouch.
Cons of Pocket Protein
  • It can get very expensive, so it would be awesome if Pocket Protein developed a Rewards Program to help with the expense.

What an awesome product!  These pouches make it so easy for me to get the right proteins that my body craves.  I am a pretty healthy eater, so this aligns perfectly with my diet.  I look forward to seeing more products from Pocket Protein.  I highly recommend this company!
