..::Product Review::.. 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz

My Review of the 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"This 6ft High Speed HDMI® Cable with Ethernet 28 AWG provides an interface between any audio/video source, such as set-top boxes, Blu-ray Disc players, DVD players, video game consoles, AV receivers and an audio and/or video monitor, such as digital television or plasma monitor, over a single cable."

I was sent a (2) pack of HDMI 4K High Definition Multimedia Cables from Solid Cordz to review.
The price for these cables is $29.99 on Amazon, and shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of the 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz

The box that I received was 7" x 7.5" x 1.5".  The front of the box presents a nice picture of one of the HDMI cables and gives some imperative information about the product.  The back of the box shows a family enjoying a movie with the help of (most likely the Solid Cordz 4K HDMI Cable).  It also lists the features of the cable.

The top of the box shows the label once more.  The left side of the box outlines the cable's structure, electricals, and mechanicals.  The right side describes a few more details in regards to the cable's capabilities.

The box was securely closed with a clear circular seal so you know that it hasn't been tampered with.

After opening the box, I found the 4K HDMI Cables wrapped nicely in plastic casings.

The cables were held together by plastic ties to keep them from unraveling.

They were easy to handle until I installed them.

The connector's casings were labeled with the company name ('Solid Cordz') and on the other side, 'HDMI'.  Each connector was fitted with a plastic casing.

When I took the fitted casing off, it was easy to see the 24K gold plated connector inside.

My Personal Experience with the 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz

My husband is pretty talented, and just recently built me a computer.  I bought this awesome monitor, but I was one HDMI cable short.  I have one hooked up to the TV, but I didn't want to take that one, so I resorted to the 'ol DVI.  Luckily, I found the Solid Cordz HDMI 4K High Definition Multimedia Cable and figured it'd be the perfect chance to test it out!

So...what's so awesome about this cable?  Well--

+ It's ultra high speed up to 18 GBPS
+ 100% HDMI Certified
+ Triple shielded wire construction
+ Category 2 cables (High-Speed, tested at 340 MHz)

Before I plugged anything in, I wanted to examine the actual casing.  It feels kind of like a tight, textured nylon rope, and is super flexible.

With my computer off of course, I plugged one side into my tower.  It fit nicely.  It wasn't loose.

Next, I hooked the other end into my monitor (and finally got rid of the terrible DVI, haha).

It works great!  It's really fast, and I like that the cords are 6 feet long.  It gives for a little movement so the connectors do not snap in the ports.

Pros of the 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz
  • Easy-- plug and use.
  • These cables have passed all stringent Category 2 testing.
  • Backward compatible to all previous versions.
  • Work just as well as competitive brands that cost 2x, 3x, or even 4x the amount.
  • Supports resolution 480i thru 2160p30.
  • Long cable length (6 ft).
  • Fast-- up to 18 GBPS.
  • Lifetime Warranty.
Cons of the 4K HDMI Cable by Solid Cordz
  • There are NO cons of the 4K HDMI Cable.

I'm really, really happy with the performance of this HDMI cable by Solid Cordz.  I wish I would've known about this company from the beginning as I would have purchased all of my HDMI cables through their store.  My husband is a little jealous that I have this cable for my computer-- but guess what?  There are 2 in the box, so he can use one just as well.  I highly recommend this, you will not be disappointed.
