..::Product Review::.. Valentia Even Glow Serum

My Review of Valentia Even Glow Serum

What is it exactly?

     From the brochure . . .
"EVENS SKIN TONE  & INCREASES GLOW & RADIANCE: Vanquish dark spots and revitalize your skin with this new generation Vitamin C serum along with essential fatty acids that leave skin smooth and visibly brighter. This antioxidant serum gives you the smooth skin capable of reflecting light and a youthful glow and a brilliant shine for that well-rested and refreshed look."

Valentia recently sent me a 1.18 fl oz bottle of their Even Glow Serum with a 20% Vitamin C concentration.

One bottle of this size is usually priced at $85.00 per bottle, but is currently on sale at Amazon for $35.00.  As per the suggested use, you should wash and dry your face, then apply the serum in little dots all over your face to ensure full coverage.  Rub in the serum, and allow to dry before applying moisturizer.

Information & Directions for application
Packaging & Presentation

Valentia sent a package, and after I opened it, I was introduced to this cute little box.  The box describes exactly what the product is, what it does, the key ingredients, as well as application instructions.  Upon opening the box, I pulled out a small brown bottle and unscrewed the cap.  There is a dropper that is placed in the bottle to vacuum the product up in order to apply it onto the face.  The actual serum is a dark-ish yellow color.

My Personal Experience with Valentia's Even Glow Serum

Before anything, I must say that this serum smells good! The Vitamin C is wonderful.  If you like the smell of citrus, then this is the serum you need!  Citrus is known to energize and awaken, which is what it does to the skin.

After receiving the serum, I did just as the directions said.  I shook the bottle, washed and dried my face, and applied liberally in little dots everywhere.

Ingredients of the Even Glow Serum

I used this product for a full 7 days, day and night.  I love the results.  I was a little nervous to try a new product, as I am pretty set in my ways when it comes to my beauty regimen.  I am so glad I did, and I am definitely going to add this to the normal stuff.

I didn't notice anything for awhile (days).  I was a little convinced that it didn't work.  But the last two days have brought on a beautiful glow and evenness to my skin.  I have little smile lines around the edges of my mouth, and crow's feet run in my family.  I focused on these places as I applied the serum.  I'm not even joking-- these lines have diminished.  I'm proud to say that this serum does what it says.  It does take a while to work, but the results are inevitable.  Do not be discouraged if you don't notice anything right away.  This product was not made to be a quick fix, it is made with quality ingredients to ensure the effectiveness of the serum.

Another point that I would like to talk about is that the bottle lasts a long time.  The amount of serum you actually use is minuscule compared to the actual serum in the bottle.  I used the serum day and night, and I have enough left to last months.

I took a close up picture of the actual serum in the dropper.  It is a thick (as in non-watery) serum, which allows for using less serum for more coverage.

Pros of the Even Glow Serum
  • It works.  It's not fast, but it is effective.  I noticed results within 5 days of continuous use.
  • The smell!  It is a citrus-y heaven!  It wakes me up and gives my skin an instant brilliance.
  • Valentia uses 98% natural ingredients in the manufacturing of this serum.
  • Organic ingredients, amino acids, and essential oils are perfectly combined to make a safe, effective product.
  • The viscosity of the product is perfect. It isn't too watery where I felt like I had to act fast to rub it in, and it wasn't too thick where it would potentially dry before I could rub it in.
Cons of the Even Glow Serum
  • Price.  It is kind of expensive.  But, keep in mind, you do get what you pay for. Valentia allows for sales on their product, so keep your eyes open!
  • The application method.  The product is great. However, I'm not too keen on the dropper method.  I think another method that would work just as well would be a roller ball.  To me, a roller ball would make for a more defined, less messy application.  The dropper is an okay method, but some of the serum gets stuck to the sides of the dropper and can be a little messy.

I was definitely impressed with the results of the Even Glow Serum.  I have never tried a serum quite like this before.  The packaging, the effectiveness, and the delicious aroma are all reasons why I fell in love with this product over a course of 7 days.  I'm going to keep on using it, and I'll share more results after a few weeks of continuous use.
